Surprised but also delighted to hear from you! I took a quick glance at MD 6.0 and it looks fantastic. Exciting new business model too

The business model, or perhaps lack of one, is the huge news that the Marketers Delight Theme is now 100% free. This is a first in the history of the product and I did it for a few reasons:

  • The code is now committed and can be watched on Github
  • It decentralizes MD away from me and MD.com, so the source code can live anywhere
  • We could open up to a whole new generation of blogger's who are on a budget

With the amount of fore-thought and effort I put into the 6.0 codebase, releasing it for free after so long felt strange for a while. But I am confident in the features and the growing Drop-ins ecosystem for monetization that this is the right choice.
