Start the day

Starting the work day by setting up a new site on MD for a small client project then moving to work on a LearnDash integration into another new site later. The best way I’ve found to keep improving the core of MD is to use it on different kinds of websites and plugins, then pass that knowledge back into the product. The secret to any success I’ve found as a small theme shop owner is to keep all of the work I do connected, and following this strategy has gotten MD to the point it’s at today.

The Stream dropin has come a long way in just 2 days and it is really fun so far. The point of this thing is simplicity and making it fast to post quick updates and share content from all over your site. Here’s how simple the interface is to create what you see now:

MD Settings Panel Redesign

After a couple of years staying the same, I pulled an all nighter to redesign the MD admin panel. The redesign moves the settings panel to the first page of the MD admin, and also eliminated a ton of clutter that the old Dashboard added. Shooting to have this released in MD4.8.4.

I’ve wanted a way to quickly communicate on the blog without writing huge posts. The time it takes to produce quality content and quickly post short updates are in conflict with one another. So how can we combine the brevity of social media and longform content together? Let’s make our own stream…
