The problem

The Header Is Where Themes Get Stubborn

Most lock it inside a template file. Moving one button means editing PHP, installing a page builder, or living with what shipped.

Without Md

  • Editing PHP to move a button
  • A mobile menu you can’t rearrange
  • A page builder plugin just for a header button
  • Logo position decided by the theme

With Header Builder

  • Drag menus, links, buttons, and search into place
  • A separate mobile layout, standard or expanded
  • Links styled as buttons, with optional subtitles
  • Logo on the left, right, or centered between menus

How it works

Three Steps to a Better Header

Add your elements, arrange them around the logo, then set up mobile.

Step 1: Add elements

Add elements

Choose Menu, Link, or Search. A link can be styled as a button with a subtitle.

Step 2: Arrange them

Arrange them

Drag them into order, then place your logo on the left, right, or in the center.

Step 3: Set up mobile

Set up mobile

Choose the standard or expanded layout, and hide the title or tagline on small screens.

Logo position

Your Logo, Your Layout

Choose Header Left, Header Right, or Header Center. In the centered layout your menus sit on both sides of the logo.

  • Switch layouts with one radio button
  • Menus on both sides when centered
  • Change it later without rebuilding

Builder

Drag, Drop, Done

Each header element is a row you drag to reorder. Add a link styled as a button, drop in search, or show any WordPress menu.

  • Menus from any WordPress menu location
  • Links and buttons with optional subtitles
  • Search with your own placeholder text

Mobile

A Header Made for Thumbs

Mobile has its own layout instead of a shrunken desktop header. Pick Default, or Expanded, which moves the menu control before the logo.

  • Standard or expanded mobile layouts
  • Hide site title or tagline on mobile
  • Toggle menus and search independently

Sticky

Navigation That Stays in Reach

Check Use Sticky Header and the header stays at the top as readers scroll down a long post.

  • One checkbox to turn it on
  • Your menu and call to action stay in reach
  • Turn it off any time

Questions

Questions, Answered

The things people ask most about Header Builder. Still curious? Read the docs.

Can I put my logo in the center?

Yes. Choose Header Center and your logo sits in the middle, with a navigation area on each side. Header Left and Header Right put the logo at either end instead.

Does the mobile header get its own layout?

Yes. Mobile has two layouts. Default keeps the logo on the left with controls to the right, and Expanded moves the main navigation control before the logo.

What can I add to the header?

Menus, links, and search. A link can open a URL, a popup, or a phone number, and it can be styled as a button with an optional subtitle.

Can one page have a different header?

Yes. In Layout Options you can remove the header, or swap its menu, for any page, post type, or category.
