Yes, this is the very same beacon used at the top of MD.com. I've become addicted to using this while accessing the site so I'm thrilled to be able to release this as the first new Drop-in since the newly released Drop-ins Manager!

If your site has any kind of membership requirements this Drop-in is a must have! You can easily customize this area to show members-only links and a login form beautifully crafted into the Beacon dropdown menu.

Go ahead and try it out on your sites. :D

Hi Alex,

I hope you are doing great today and that all is well with you!
Please forgive me for posting an unrelated comment in this thread but I really do not know where to post this.

The thing is, I just updated MD to its latest version and my website crashed. Did anyone experience/report the same issue or is it just me? Anyway, I just wanted to say, you may need to take a look into the code if this error isn't just coming from my end.

Best, Corinne

Sorry for the trouble! Updating to MD5.3 has an extra step, see if this guide helps you:

If that doesn't help please provide any error messages you see here. I can also take a look at your site, private message me for more details (just need a WP admin account).

Since your message we've found an issue with how we sent out the release that may have contributed to your site getting an error. We've fixed it and sent the correct release out to your account, so the update should go smoother for you now.

I hope that helps, please keep me updated. (y)
